About Us

Since 1999, Oriental Books has been importing books from India, the People’s Republic of China, Tibet, Hong Kong and Taiwan. This is the result of years spent studying Eastern traditions, languages and arts, as well as frequent personal visits to book markets in the Orient. Each year, we travel to various cities throughout India and China, visiting local book stores, both large and small, and attending local trade fairs, as part of our search for new volumes on the arts and minor arts and all of Asian publishing’s rare gems.
